Meet Chef Sonny Celestin

Over 30 Years of Experience. A Lifetime of Passion.

Sonny Celestin is more than just a chef—he’s a passionate culinary artist with over three decades of experience and a deep love for bringing people together through food. As owner and head chef of the new café at Valencia Pointe in Boynton Beach, Sonny is proud to offer fresh, flavorful meals made with care, tradition, and a personal touch.

Originally from Haiti, Sonny moved to the United States at the age of 16. Although he first trained as a heating and air conditioning technician, his true calling was always in the kitchen. He later followed that passion, studied culinary arts, and began what would become a long and rewarding career in the food industry.

Over the years, Sonny has built a reputation for his warm personality, creative menu development, and dedication to customer satisfaction. Whether he’s preparing comfort food classics like stuffed cabbage and meatloaf or premium favorites like prime rib, lobster, or his signature lamb chops and lamb shank, Sonny puts his heart into every dish. All meals are made fresh, with generous portions and bold flavors that keep guests coming back.

Family plays a big role in Sonny’s kitchen. Two of his children, Sandy and Tony, work alongside him, sharing in the day-to-day operations and contributing to the welcoming, family-focused atmosphere that defines the café.

“I love what I do,” Sonny says. “Cooking has always brought me joy, and my goal is to make every guest feel at home. If I can put a smile on someone’s face with a good meal, then I’ve done my job.”

In addition to serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, Sonny looks forward to expanding the café’s offerings with exciting plans like pizza, themed food nights, BBQs, and delivery options.

With a commitment to quality, hospitality, and community, Sonny Celestin invites you to stop in, say hello, and experience the difference of food made with passion.
